Large, extensive area -2 hotels in a, lost but. If the way was too far, to walk-there are small electric shuttle. Area has many diligent hands well maintained. General clean area-careless guests spread out but also trash in the bushes, on beach etc.. Unfortunately no wi-fi internet access included, but we didn't need to miss. The hotel our choice was the grand sirenis Maya beach. One of the 'typical' 5 stars hotels which between Cancun and Tulum some are. In order to make it short: yes, with its 1000 rooms it is a huge monstrosity, however divided into several units, each with a private concierge have, so that always relatively quickly helped or information can be made.     Very vicious and highly unprofessional if you attempt to spend your money outside of their compound and the excursions they offer. We would never have realized how much the management is at war with the local commerce had we not attempted to achieve better deals where the tourist sites were involved. Grand Sirenis offers several tours; however we found the same excursions for 75% off of their prices, so of course we took the lesser cost. From that moment on it was open season on myself and others traveling. First they tried a scare tactic telling us that the people were not real companies stealing our money, but Grand Sirenis will give us our money back just so that we will be okay. Sounds quite magnanimous, however, once you consider that their prices are 75% higher, they can afford to refund your money because they will recoup their money and more when they charge you their prices. The staff began blocking us when we were attempting to go to some of the famous shopping areas questioning us on our destination with very harsh statements. I attempted to be professional for as long as I could. I spoke to management about the harassment and let them know that I would not be silenced about their treatment. We were even put in danger as we were left in the dark by the road side on the outskirts of the property. One day we took a cab and my sunglasses feel out somewhere in the cab, but I did not realize it until they drove off. The cab was just out of earshot, but it had not left the Grand Sirenis property (large property) I asked if they would just radio to the gate and have them the cab driver leave the glasses there and I would take the trek to retrieve them. I was told by Ernesto, their hospitality manager, “We don’t’ help anyone who goes to see other timeshares”. What if that was a bag that contained my passport, or camera equipment etc. Vicious, unprofessional, abusive and not worthy of any stars because no matter how nice a venue may be, putting a traveler in danger because they wanted to spend their money with a different company will never be okay. And they could act this way because they had already received the money we paid, so now they can be vicious and abusive because good luck getting any justice once you leave their country.

This was our first holiday in Mexico and if we go back, we will book in any case also again in this hotel. It was simply a carefree holiday with fantastic service, fantastic beach and stunning excursions!:-) to be recommended anytime! Excursions could calmly without a tour guide with the collecting taxis, which constantly between Tulum and Playa del Carmen back and forth drive. Who chichen itza wanted to visit, but should run make, since this 160 kilometer inland is. I could here go go on and on, but this helps you not, there was nothing to complain about ..., so drive just itself, you must see it to believe it!- D. read hotel review

I agree with the summary of Mona (december 2013) kpl. Follow. And supplement: mostly fast, attentive and friendly service of the staff + beach bar, and beach grill are a great alternative for lunch many interesting animals in the area, such as iguanas, coatis, raccoons, various tropical birds. Great tropical paths and a small Botanic Garden. very nice, large pool directly on the beach + lazy river in the morning to 08:00 a. m. drive! Great! few mosquitos, no dangerous spiders or so + whirl tub and shower in the rooms are generously limited + mini bar is refilled ... daily + safe for laptop and camera etc. big enough, but for 2 weeks 600 pesos = about 36 Euro wi-fi (wlan term they do not know.) is almost always in the lobby and in the great restaurants. In the rooms may not always. Current price 560 pesos for 14 days = about 34 Euro directly in front of the hotel on route 307 just a Colectivo bus stop (the blind anyway always on. One must then only wave and you will keep) and, for example, to akumal or Playa del Carmen for a maximum of 35 pesos = about €2.10 drive. • entrance Tulum 59 pesos = about €3.60 • ferry Playa cozumel and back 324 pesos = about 20 Euro (simple journey takes 40 minutes) in Playa at the bus station there is a Santander atm. However one saw almost always green meerschildkröten (!) the rooms are very badly soundproofed due to the thin walls to the neighbors and because of the open architecture of the building. The rooms in the upper floors are quieter. You can Neckermann book (high floorrooms = the 3. floor! But the 2) the toilet is only by a milchglastüre (upstairs and downstairs open) oversight. There is no toilet brushes in Mexico. Until minutes august 2014 is on the beach (and especially in the spa area, northern hotelküste ) with construction noise should be expected, as there is now also a delphinarium need!? At the Riviera Maya there are already every few kilometers a 'decor'. From my point of view, the hotel management should - and i which informed rather ensure, that at the southern hotelküste (not on the beach!) the plastic was cleared away. In the city to go must be taken to the bus, to foot can one not there, but bus cost few commeth ofter. The hotel is very clean, the rooms are very large, the staff very nice always. Very nice beach and pool. Food is a bit always the same at the buffet, grilled turkeys, tuna but is ok. Unfortunately we have had rain but otherwise it would have been great. We like old walks in the evening and the next city not just in front of the door, but with the bus we recommend in Playa de Carmen to ... go. Very much load and at night very busy (70 pesos per person with bus = €4.30 for 30 kilometer). read hotel review

The hotel area was very generous and very beautifully designed. The gardens in the area is partly from the original rainforest, what the area something special there. The beach is directly because of the hotel and is very spacious. There were always enough beach chairs at the beach and at the pool. The location is especially good for snorkeling, because right in front of the hotel's book a coral reef is with many colorful fish and sea turtles. Not so nice was the dining room in the main building. It was very big and it was always very loud. The ... predominant part of the guests were canadian. Accordingly the food at the buffet mostly american oriented. But it was still something for everyone and it was very extensive. About hiansu gave it also still 6 à la carte restaurants, the you could use. The bars and the drinks, particularly the cocktails left nothing to be desired. Even at the beach were the cocktails brought to your beach chair and there was also a coffee bar, an ice-cream parlor and a healthbar. All in all the holiday was very successful. Unfortunately we had only in the first week a lot of rain. But nobody something. Please note: at present, the spa (strand-zone) a dolphinarium built. For a 5 star hotel very worn and lack of basic items in the room, such as bathrobes, slippers, laundrybeutel and so on. Old tea bags in the room on arrival, the minibar only partly filled. We have in the world still no hotel, where all 3 meters on the danger of slipping pointed out and where so many vacationers with walking canes and partly with bandages and plasters, rum walked. The welcome meeting, what about 15 minutes lasted fell two people, which we have seen. When ansprechung the travel agent said one only, decent footwear and the hotel know ... you every few meters to go. The floors are already insanely smooth, if it rained and then is still fit above mopped. There are much better 5 stars hotels in the world. read hotel review

Sleep very limited, since disco visitors at night came, shuttle service drove. In the neighbor room was tv loudly looked, shower at night.     The friendliness of the staff is very variable, depending on how much you tip. The room cleaning was good, even though 2 time no towel change took place every day but very different in terms of time is concerned. Sleep was hardly possible, because of the constant early wg. The minibar knocked and the shuttle service on the course drove at night and you were from disco visitors annoyed. With complaints was very nonchalant way to not commitments almost unnoticed.

    There are seven specialty restaurant, where the french with 55 American Dollar zahlungspflichtig is. Best restaurant was for us the japanese, followed by the mediterranean and mexican. The two main restaurant we hardly used for dinner, since we little found, which mexican cuisine recall could. Everything very little seasoned and the americans laid out. Drinks tasted partly extremely of chlorine, which says everything as the ice cubes manufacture.

In september 2013 we were in the hotel. Is the complex already impressive, but unfortunately it on the absolute mass tourism. The hotel area was over a huge area with several buildings. We booked with all inclusive, so you could eat around the clock, as many guests used ☺ Unfortunately, the hotel in the room with no wi-fi access so you can have only the lobby with internet connections. The hotel guests were at our time very many americans and russians also accordingly mentioned (very disappointing) and unfortunately very few germans. read hotel review

    The rooms were very large and clean. It was a large bed and a sofa, as well as a large closet in the room. The bathroom has toilet and even a jacuzzi (not used) and a large shower.

    The offer at activities was large, but it was not used by us. There were several pools in the hotel were always clean. Furthermore, through the grounds an artificial river where one with tyres durchtreiben can. :-)

    The location of the hotel is simply super. Beach was directly in front of the door only a few meters away, depending on where the room is. The first two days we were always on the front beach, but it is not recommended too many stones in the water... Rather completely to the left to the small bay is, as it is really great. To go shopping or go out the hotel not many possibilities, since you should take the bus to Cancun drive. The connections with the public transport is very good, however (at the main street and a small bus wave, that are the Colectivos- coach) these are very cheap and go to a meeting place in the city of Cancun.

A very big complex with very many rooms. In june was luckily not fully booked. The guests were mostly americans and canadians, a few russians and german. The food is very plentiful and if you didn't find anything there, not to help is no more. The staff is very friendly, especially is graziela (the service on the beach) to be highlighted. Desk definitely not about agencies book! This is absolute rip-off! It is all very comfortably by collectivo and ado buses to reach. read hotel review

The themed restaurants are not been improved... Except for the 'el rancho' -steakhouse in the we twice were. Excellent (fillet)-steaks) tip: book early, as always busy Wireless internet still against fee... This should now free standard. Tip: during excursions free wifis for example.     Carribean like does not go to the beach for. The best beach in the area is mayan beach, about 20 minutes by car. Away from the hotel. On the beach one tried a 2 class should be set up. There is now a separate seashore for premium travelers is reserved. Here there are better beach chairs and sun beds. Also in the lobby for those travelers a reserved area with leather armchairs. This one received a notice of a bracelet. Everything else is remained the same.
