The town of Primorsko is among the cleanest and most ecologically orientated resorts along the Southern Black Sea coast. Primorsko is situated on a small peninsula just 52 km from the city of Bourgas. Nearby is the famous nature reserve Ropotamo, known for its water lilies. The river mouth is open for tourism. For the younger guests there are interesting places, such as a water park, numerous discos, clubs and bars. The local pubs and restaurants offer great hospitality and delicious national dishes.

  The Lion's Head is a unique work of nature representing a rock formation in the shape of a lion's head, it is a natural phenomenon formed by the cracking of the rocks overhanging Ropotamo River at about 2.5 km from the city of Primorsko. Beklik Tash is a Thracian rock sanctuary. The stones are arranged so that the ancient people inhabited the place and used it at the same time as a calendar and as a clock. There are many beliefs and superstitions about the place. The Ropotamo River and Ropotamo Nature Reserve house a rich variety of the local flora and fauna, beautiful rock formations and pure nature. The sight of the merging Black Sea and the river is amazing. The Ropotamo River is a protected site established for the purpose of preserving rare species and animals threatened by extinction, or the destruction of plants.
