Beautiful hotel and good service

Stayed for just one night and overall the hotel and its facilities were great. Unfortunately i didn't realise there was an evening turn down service and the staff took away the towel I had taken to the swimming pool. Unfortunately it had my trunks rolled up within. The staff were not very motivated to try and find or sort, and I am still waiting for a decent response read hotel review

A dream location for a dream vacation!

Prior to flying out to Ireland for my long-overdue dream vacation and ancestral pilgrimage, I had stayed at the Hilton Kuwait Resort (HKR), and I didn't think any hotel could come close to the HKR in terms of both luxurious accomodation and world-class customer service (the Hilton Dublin [where I'd stayed for my first 3.5 days in the Emerald Isle] didn't, though it was certainly a fine hotel in its own right).the HKR had set my proverbial bar very high. Well, to my very pleasant surprise, the Hayfield Manor not only met my lofty expectations, it exceeded them. ... First thing I noticed upon arrival was the gorgeous appearance of the exterior and the grounds, and then the posh, classy interior ofthe lobby. From there, I was quite favorably by the warm reception I received from Michael the concierge and Deidre at the front desk.and shortly thereafter, I was totally blown away by the knowledgeableness and efficiency of the staff when (1) Deidre provided me the name of a contact to helpme with my ancestral/genealogicalresearch, and (2) I inquired about MBT brand shoes, and Annemarie of the Spa staff not only knew where to find them, but knew more of the technical details of the shoes than I did (mind you, nobody in either Dublin or Kuwait seemed to know about them). Speaking of the Spa.the massage therapy service (my profuse apologies for forgetting the therapist's name), the outdoor hot tub, the large indoor swimming pool.wow, just wow! And while the gym was fairly small, I was quite pleasantly surprised to see they had Kettle Bells. I then checked into my room and was wowed by the size and the appearance of the accomodations, as well as the view from the room. The extra mile provided by Kate and the other maid staff was delightful (especially the chocolates on the pillows). And while it was undoubtedly a mere coincidence, I was quite amused to see that my room's mini-library happened to include a book about my favorite singer, Elvis. Food service: GREAT breakfast at Orchid's--try the Eggs Benedict and the Beef Medallion--and great service by Ber(nadette) and other servers and maitre'd's whose names escape me at the moment (my apologies for forgetting, but rest assured they were all great) and EXCELLENT dinner at Perrott's--the Plaice was especially good, and the white wine selections from South Africa and New Zealand were impressive--with thanks to Elizabeth and the other employees (again my apologies for forgetting their names at the moment, but rest assured they were all great) for their fine service. An impressive international cast of employees, I must also say; from Germany, Poland, Bulgaria, China, Hungary, Slovakia, and my own birth country of the Philippines. And oh, by the way, Afternoon Tea is not just an English tradition, the Irish do it too.well, at least the Hayfield Manor does, and in fine fashion.you'll have to try it to fully appreciate it. My thanks to Shirley (I think that was her name, if memory serves me correctly). And thanks to Dimo (sp?) and Nina and Roisin for all their outstanding service at the Front Desk (especially to Nina for all her hard work on my outbound FedEx parcel paperwork).and thanks to ALL the Hayfield staff members with whom I interacted; regardless of whether I remember your name at the moment, rest assured you were all fantastic!!! Ireland was a truly a dream vacation, the memories of which I'll treasure the rest of my life, and the Hayfield Manor was an invaulable key component, for which I cannot thank the hotel staff enough! God bless and Erin Go Bragh! read hotel review
