Situated a little bit of the main shopping area, this hotel seems to be a selection of travel operators, as it is fairly big and easily accessible by bus and car. We had only one night booked, and the convenience of getting to the metro was very good. Also, to walk downtown was not much of a hassle. We stayed 6 nights at the harbour Plaza Metropolis and were very satisfied. Room very small, however the view from the 21. floor with a view of the harbour fantastic. Unfortunately it smelled moldy, but no wonder, because it no possibility for the ventilation is. Unfortunately cooled the air conditioning and it was rather too cold. Hardly any counter, had luggage for 3.5 weeks and could the bags did not want to unpack. Location
The hotel is located opposite the Kowloon-Canton Railway (KCR) Station in Hunghom, thus providing guests with convenient access to other Kowloon districts and various destinations throughout China. Moreover, the hotel lies adjacent to the Hong Kong Coliseum and minutes from Tsim Sha Tsui East, the Duty Free Shoppers Galleria and the Hong Kong Science Museum.
Facilities
The hotel opened its doors in June 2002 and is the newest addition to the Harbour Plaza group. Constructed without compromise, it is a modern testament to hospitality excelling in functionality, luxury and convenience. All 6 restaurants and bars overlook Victoria Harbour with The Patio also offering a sea breeze. Further amenities within the air-conditioned complex include a foyer, 24-hour reception with safe and currency exchange facility, as well as conference facilities. Fees apply for use of the room and laundry services as well as the car parking.
Rooms
The size of the Superior rooms varies according to floor: 24 m², 25 m² or 33 m². Each comes with either two twin beds or one queen-sized bed as well as an en suite bathroom with a hairdryer, a direct dial telephone, satellite/ cable TV, a radio, Internet access, a minibar, a coffee machine, a hire safe and centrally controlled air conditioning.
Sports/Entertainment
Leisure options include an outdoor pool, a Jacuzzi and a range of spa treatments (fees apply). There is also a gym to work out in.
Meals
Expatriate chefs from Thailand and Switzerland prepare their authentic specialities to tempt guests' appetites. All meals are available as a buffet. Lunch and the dinner may alternatively be taken à la carte. Dinner is also available from a set menu.
Payment
American Express, JCB, MasterCard and VISA are all accepted as methods of payment.
How to get there
It is just 45 minutes From Hong Kong International Airport with the Airport Express, disembarking at Kowloon Station. From there it is only a 10 minute walk to the hotel.
