Very nice, older owner, right next to the hotel, and always open to for a conversation. Very good English. the wife spoke some international languages. One of the staff is from morning to night, who cares for example. The breakfast, and an all-night porter, both also very nice and good English. Very nice and attentive, mostly English-speaking, boss Gina also German. Clean rooms, more frequently changed regularly. Only breakfast buffet, satisfactory. Junior suite with old substance, we liked it. Its own fridge and a kettle for self-catering, but adequate. 3 Villas in lovely garden, junior suite in an old substance large and comfortable, with a large balcony and bathroom (#34 ). Island in the busy Funchal, noise barely tolerable. Swimming pool is adequate, as well as sitting space. Clean, good basic breakfast, nice service, mainly British guests. Kinda like home!
