Location directly by the beach from the arena gorda, wifi free of charge also in the room and at the beach. Generally, i can only the comparison of several years back. And the hotel has more than good. A large proportion of americans and canadians the as well as already in previous contributions described the pool bar dispose in its favor. Where one drives in january back where it is warm? Karibik ! It was our first flight and vacation outside of the eu and we loved it. we arrived am31 dezemberabends in the hotel, we were moved and in the silvesternacht overthrown. The food was amazing, the buffet the inside and outside was the absolute hammer. The days after this level maintained, i would have never thought in the Karibik sushi food, here could one it. The choice is immense in the main restaurant and the food in the specialty restaurants was great. Everything on european level. There is always ... a court, what a not so tasted, but there are plenty of other things, to be offered. We never had problems with the food or drinks. The staff is so nice, i have never experienced that, the waiters are unobstrusively nice and anxious to fulfill every wish. With 1-2 Dollar tips are you still nice-) and the next day they know even your name. The beach section was the most beautiful in the karik, the other tourists also reported. It is like photograph, the palm trees, the fine sand, the water is warm, wonderfully there under palm trees and from and to have a drink. The waiters come to the beach with full trays with drinks (very recommendable: coco loco) Please note: it winds sometimes quite strong on the beach (ocean side) as it is rather the pool was announced. Outside are many fans and air conditioning in the room. We after 3 days a rich cold in/out privileges. So something for colds carry forward, because the pharmacy in the resort is not well equipped. It was a fantastic holiday for us and we had really nothing to complain about. You have to really consider, that you in the Karibik is, that there is a high humidity gives (therefore possibly also times mould in the bathroom, but that was also in Spain) Rooms are daily cleaned, the bed turned down, etc. Valuables we always had rim safe, no question. Wi-fi is available, but of course not the fastest. Almost everyone has a smartphone and communicates with the social media, thus very slow. We went to the hotel because of the reviews here do not book, the travel agent but recommended. When TUI there is a recommendation from 98%! I would recommend this hotel to someone picky is not recommendable. The processing of the food was rather bad, not trained staff. The meat is so long fried until it is. I ahtte my leg at the beach broken, my wife wanted to help from the front desk, but there was no Time as a group just arrive. The wheelchair was literally scrap, brakes broken and rusty. I think in 10 years do the hotel again. There are no repairs were carried out. Never again Rio hotel! read hotel review

We felt very comfortable. The whole area made a good impression. The one-hour evening entertainment was good and was not once in the 2 weeks. It was by external actors decorated. After a very busy holiday was only recovery purely announced. This is a success. However, the hotel is a little in the ' years' old. Against mold fungi (in the room) must you are not allergic to be. Healthy they are certainly not. The beach is nice, but it bordered hotel after hotel. It hiking countless people, something peace and less people you will find only after many kilometres. But like i said, relaxation you will find, the staff is very friendly and helpful, the nightly noise holds itself within limits, since the windows well soundproofed. Who without organisation wants ... to undertake trips, the Dominican Republic was really nice and culturally interesting, should perhaps not necessarily this part of the island. read hotel review

    Very good service at the front desk (friendly, helpful, german speaking). Daily, thorough room cleaning, in the evening, the bed turned down and the curtains pulled. Please note: all valuables in the safety deposit box. My silver necklace which i in the bathroom had left was stolen. At the front desk was my complaint received, but this has my chain not returned. Friendliness of the waiter depends on their mood from. The collecting several tables (we were a large group) was in the first week of our holiday, no problem. After a few days it was the waiters not too much work. This should be a 5 star hotel.

The hotel is, in my opinion the best value of all assets in Riu-complex. Despite its 1200 beds, it looks quite small and we didn't have any long paths. Even if it is full, one can always find a spot both in the restaurant and also on the beach. read hotel review

    The hotel is not Club Hotel, accordingly, there are during the day also only one very soft entertainment. After 3 years break, we have huge on the stay. We were as a family a warm welcome and every wish was fulfilled, and from the lips. The hotel came something into the years, in other words some facilities were already something damaged or warped. And as general in the Karibik usual tussles the Riu Palace against the humidity in the rooms. Since it was off-season, the staff was somewhat limited. But it was still very clean and we had a friendly, quick and charming service. The food was compared to the years before it very much much more attractive ... presented and prepared. The quality of meat in comparison to the years the specific barbecues. But new an idea of the staff on the beach. A great and charming idea. We had a lot to laugh about. The guest structure was mixed. We met many ' repeat-perpetrators' from the german-speaking area and of course there were also americans, canadians, local and other european nationalities. But no large group, but a miscellany in the middle to let's say of mature age. Our personal impression, before 3 years were the guests' well-kept ', especially in the evening. Many of the staff, which for years and i have partly 13 years know, are still at the palace turned on and therefore you feel like you are in a small Riu Palace family. This makes up for a lot, which was a bit 'worn' Internet we had to the room.     The arranging of the dishes in comparison to our stay in 3 years, was much improved and the 'time' adjusted. We personally before 3.5 years (as meat) tasted better. But this is no criterion, it has a wide selection of the most beautiful food. Of vegetables, salads, etc. The hotel has several small restaurants, depending on your taste. You can the day before each reserve. In the specialty restaurants there were 2 meal times. Long pants for men are a must.

    We had a suite at the front of the beach. The perfect size, the facilities in comparison to the new Riu style a little dated, worn-out and partly crooked. Nevertheless, we had everything we needed. Due to the strong rain in the night, we had partly of small creepy crawlies. The were allowed my partner then remove. The cleanliness is it not, it is simply common in the Karibik. Except one would like, that there is no life at the hotel and daily poison injected is. Since i prefer the small visitors before.

    If all guests during the tour guide report and you then quickly start can, then you are quickly at the hotel. Excursions you could easily by the hotel company, partly must one with easy transfer time be expected. Shopping center gives it outside of the area, but is rather relatively expensive. The taxis were rather expensive. We are therefore in the complex remained. A small tip. The rum at the airport was a lot more expensive, than in the shops in the complex. As i have said since 13 years ago Riu trip, i know, that you in the hotel complex and not as for example in Mexico times briefly after Playa del Carmen can walk to. We booked this hotel in the last year at the same time and under 'better than expected' rated. We knew so, what we need and what we expect and what not. Nevertheless we were in some expectations disappointed. Only under the premise, that this hotel is not in our main holiday and we deliberately according to our needs drawbacks for the benefits, this hotel offers, we will probably next year at the same time of year. A big plus is the whole hotel including beach gewährleitete availability of wi-fi - free of charge.     The exclusive criterion for us was the location and the highest quality of this hotel in conjunction with a jacuzzisuite at the sea side with a view of the ocean (s. pictures). This gives for us the necessary service and the Carribean like, the regeneration of stressed-out autonomy to reach. Hotel, pool, food and other all-inclusive services are of secondary importance. The location and the entire area are ideal for us and by us through extensive daily forays use.

    As the pool bar in the main pool leads is this of course a special burden. Lots of guests from the pool bar used this for hours continuously? However the beach is beautiful, there are always free beach chairs also in the shade. A very special highlight is the massage in the spa. We had a partner massage (designated as romantic massage) for about 1 10 €per person. We have already often in other hotels, especially in the asian area made. But what we have experienced here had with romantic so much to do with a Roman, the stem. The whole procedure was unprofessional, disrespectful, unromantic and full aufgedrehter air conditioning also unpleasant.

Certainly, the rooms have their best time already behind itself, but constant influence of the tropical weather, wear and tear can be expected. We have ignored.
