The clean and well-equipped rooms with big enough bathrooms/showers in the quaint landhaus mediate holiday mood immediately. The rich breakfast is served in a cosy dining room offered, in which one also in the evening the fireplace can sit. The courteous treatment and care by the owners, and their sense of humor and their helpfulness give the landhaus schorsch an easy going atmosphere. We wanted to enjoy the landscape and the Landhaus schorsch was for us exactly the right choice. An ideal starting point for hikes on the well-kept and well-signposted hiking trails. In winter a paradise for cross-country skiers. Oberstdorf not that ten minutes walking distance, a glance at the map is enough. But the bus stops nearby. The hotel is situated in an idyllic location at the edge of the forest, the deer came almost to the bathroom window. Landhaus Schorsch was exceptionally clean and the hosts were friendly and welcoming. I stayed here at the beginning and end of my New Year 2010 ski trip, combined with following the VierSchanzenTournee. Breakfast was of the highest quality. I have stayed in all types and qualities of accomodation worldwide and would rate this as a gem, i.e. in my top five. I cannot recognise some of the other reviews that appear(ed) Online. Landhaus Schorsch near Oberstdorf in the Allgäu I visited in June 2009 - the telephone only friendly contact was on site the opposite. The hotel made a yet would appear impression. Important for us was the proximity to Oberstdorf ( I just asked in advance) the advertised 10 minutes to Oberstdorf are in truth ( including rapid) at least 1 hour.
