Very nice city hotel with bus stop nearby. The historic part from Reykjavik is within walking distance about minutes away. It's worth a walk at the water front along. Until the next modern shopping mall are 1 station by bus. Had a large, very clean and well furnished room on the 7. floor and felt comfortable. There was a versatile breakfast buffet. Trips became from the reception professional booked. We would definitely book the hotel again. … read more

We are three nights at the Grand hotel. The hotel made a very good impression with a nice lobby. The rooms are neat dimensioned, especially the bathroom was nice and large. It was very clean, only the bed covers could be changed. In our rooms was the breakfast. Contrary to other reviews, we found the breakfast was delicious and the selection was also enough to be without a little get tired. The spa area is admission is not included in the price (about 4600 Icelandic krona), what we were a bit surprised. Better then right into Geothermalbad nearby. Regards Johannes … read more

This city hotel is situated in a quiet area 1.5 km from the city centre, just a short distance from all services, recreation and business centres. The National Gallery of Iceland, Hallgrimskirkja Church, Reykjavik City Hall and Althingi Parliament are all also within walking distance.
