Mos Eisley in München

The hotel is in need of a renovation as not only are the furniture and fixtures old, tired and faded so are the rooms as well. The reception looks cluttered and and the lighting in the hotel is rather dark so you're never too confident in the cleanliness of anything. read hotel review

We reserved a king room and was given a double. At check-in the receptionist claimed ignorance as he doesn't work at the hotel full time and isn't familiar with the rooms. They spoke perfect English so language barriers can't be excuse to offer good service. I would question the security of the hotel: old school clunky keychain that you need to leave with reception when you leave the hotel. When we returned to our rooms in the evening and asked for our keys, by naming the room number only and the receptionist gave us the keys without checking our identity. When we left again I asked the receptionist if this was common practice, and she then apologized, her excuse: she was distracted.

When we checked in the receptionist asked if we wanted breakfast. And pointed at the breakfast offering in the adjoining breakfast room. The selection was very poor, so we opted out and had breakfast in the city. The minibar was left empty in our room so we only had the option of buying drinks in the neighborhood, or purchasing from the Coca Cola refrigerator in the lobby. We opted for the former. Why would you buy a drink at reception when it's a fraction of the price next door? This tells me that the business at the hotel isn't taken seriously.

The neighborhood reminds me on Mos Eisley in Star Wars. Lots of shifty characters and dive bars and restaurants in the Turkish quarter of Munich. The only good thing about the location was, it's right between the old town and the train station.

There is no WIFI!!! None! What are they thinking?!

  • Room

Cramped room with clumsy uncomfortable furniture; dirty, stained carpets; dirty, dusty curtains; chipped water glass the adjoining bathroom's shower door doesn't close so the bathroom floods after every shower. The bed was a double, and had 2 individual bedspreads. Checking in as a couple, this was an uncomfortable set-up.

We were in german theatre Munich very satisfied and would stay there again. It is very centrally located and within walking distance of the city and to the airport, without a hauptverkehsstraße to be. You can stay in a parking garage in the road for 18 this day parking. We have breakfast for 9 - to book can. The hotel is an old building, but seemed clean. The beds were big enough, clean and comfortable. The room has altbaucharakter, but was optically pleasant. There was a minibar, a safety deposit box, hair dryer, etc. Even though it is a old ... building very clairaudient there was, was it however in the framework, as carpets in the hallway and the windows well insulated seem to be. We were at the time of the opening of the german theater in the hotel and the attendant noise only with open window belongs. With closed window heard one nothing more. The staff was friendly, the breakfast was reasonable and the selection of the food was in order. There are in the street but also a bakery, if you don't take breakfast would. read hotel review

Currently the german theaters seems to be completely renovated, which was only once construction and dirt suggests, however, i in my room (on the 5. floor) nothing received. The other guests, i met, were different old. A woman around the 40, another about mid 20 and an older gentleman. The small lobby has a website, but not functional looked. The elevator unfortunately only until to the 4. floor. In the 5. floor it goes then over the stairs. In this hotel gives it only to key, no maps. So, don't forget, from the inside locked! Who relatively cheap and clean ... hotel in railway station and central area for staying overnight looks for, is in good hands here. read hotel review

The hotel is very centrally located. The main railway station on foot it is only about 10 minutes, to Karlsplatz about 5 minutes and to the sendlinger tor about 10 minutes in direct neighborhood tabledancebars, internetcafés and 1 Euro-shops. Bahnhofsviertel evenly.

The room was as far as clean. The telephone didn't work, and the blind had posted. All together however ok. The bathroom looked fairly new or at least updated. On the first glance clean, only the shower wall and under of the toilet one could times improve,.

The receipt lady has their duty at the check-in fulfilled. In other words, key collection. From other hotels i know the phrase ' welcome! How was your journey? Lovely stay for us!' But i will not be petty...
