The hotel is located in the middle of the old Quebec City, about a five-minute walk from the Chateau Frontenac. Our room was huge, however, the style of the hotel took some getting used to. Everything is very dark and due to the direct location in the city centre, our room had only a very small window facing the courtyard. The staff is French-speaking, like everyone in Quebec, on request but English is spoken. The vehicle was right next to the front door and taken in the underground car park, for 24 CAD per night absolutely OK. The service staff was very accomodating, everything worked out well except for the air conditioning - it could not be turned off seperated left. To various talks by phone was even though Saturday evening, nor a technician was sent to the room, which I found very fair. Location
This attractive hotel lies at the heart of Quebec’s historical centre inside the old city walls. Chateau Frontenac and numerous restaurants are located nearby. Public transport (bus, train), shops, restaurants, bars and pubs are all a stone’s throw from the hotel. The Parliament, the Citadel, and museums are some 15 minutes away on foot.
Facilities
Renovated in 2004, this hotel comprises a total of 148 rooms, of which 8 are suites, on 6 floors. It has a spacious foyer with 24-hour reception desk, a safe, a currency exchange desk, and lifts. The hotel is fully air-conditioned and features a café, shops, a bar, and an air-conditioned restaurant with a non-smoking area and highchairs for infants. In addition, a conference room and a public Internet terminal are available. Room and laundry services, as well as medical assistance, round off the facilities on offer. There is a bicycle hire service available in the hotel grounds. Those arriving by car may make use of the hotel car park and garage.
