The staff at the hotel is always friendly ( the boss at the front desk had however a 'couple hair on the teeth'). The staff at the hotel is (as was almost completely Helsinki) quadrilingual: finnish, swedish, Russian and English. One of these languages should you in any case master, if you in Helsinki wants to move. The cleaning of the rooms was always exactly and precisely. In the hotel are the usual offer as more business used hotels, so no animation or comparable.The hotel was 1928 and built several times reconditioned and in shot held. There are certainly larger room in the hotel, but for 4 nights it was adequate. Because we were invited, we have the culinary offer couldn't test. The market hall at the port offers delicious finnish details for example Reindeer -Kebab! To point out the Irish Pub the hotel is attached, as well as the bar on the roof with stunning all round views! Location
This hotel is located at the heart of Helsinki, just a short distance from the harbour and the pretty market place offering numerous market halls. The hotel lies on the well-known shopping street of Mannerheimintie and the train station as well as the bus station are also a few minutes away from the hotel.
Facilities
The hotel, which was built in an Art Nouveau style, counts amongst the oldest landmarks in Helsinki and is the city's only skyscraper. It comprises a total of 11 floors with 154 rooms of which 9 are suites. Facilities include lifts, an Irish pub, an American bar, a panoramic bar offering unique views out over the city as well as a restaurant with a non-smoking area.

The tastefully furnished rooms feature an en suite bathroom with hairdryer, a direct dial telephone, a TV, a minibar/ fridge, air conditioning and a hire safe.
