Hotel Du Rhin^{(2 stars)}

The hotel is directly at the Bahnhofsplatz. The inner circle Strasbourgs is on foot in 5 minutes to reach, the cathedral in 15 minutes the connections to the transport (TRAM, bus, taxi, train ) is very good. The hotel is in good condition and very clean. It consists of two houses, which were connected (high landing) and a inner courtyard parts. The rooms are with a (small ) lift and the stairs to reach. We stayed six nights in this hotel and overall very satisfied. The breakfast was, as almost everywhere usual in France, a bit spartan, but you could, for example, butter 'later delivery' leave. Otherwise, the atmosphere in the dining room was very pleasant. Very useful for us, that all at the front desk spoke German. For a city trip perfectly adequate, although the hotel is getting old, but Charme. We felt very comfortable there! The only drawback: very simple breakfast, 1 croissant per person + 1 baguette, as well as a bowl jam as coating! We found that out of date (but it tasted good...). … read more

As I said, the location is ideal, right next to the main station, but not unpleasant (volume or the like). It's an old building. The rooms are a bit long in the tooths lift, we had two double rooms, a narrow hallway by, a short flight of stairs and a narrow hallway to reach. Little handicapped friendly. Or just difficult with children and suitcases...HCLFHLThe breakfast was very disappointing.
