The hotel isn't in the center but with tram is possibile go to the center in 20 minutes. The hotel is luxury and the room is very elegant and quiet. The buffet breakfast is large and with good choice. read hotel review

Breakfast was okay – but not enough for a 'leading hotel'; very crowded on the first day, and the staff was unable to cope with the situation. The second day was perfect.

We were upgraded to a junior suite – very nice, but not really necessary. The extra charge is unnecessary, though.

  • Sport & Leisure
    4.0

Pool and sauna were a bit old-fashioned, and a bit more 'attention to detail' would give a boost. Many guests sit on small towels in the sauna. On the first day, our towels were not clean (that can happen, but should not, since there were bloodstains) – after a complaint, the second evening was better. Bottom line: the staff should not just stand by the entrance, but also remove used towels.

The okura hotel in Amsterdam: not ignorable 'block' in the south-west of the quaint area of the de pijp ( kreuzbergviertel of the ams). Since 1971 the okura hotel amsterdam is a 5sterne icon. The price-performance ratio (even) in the summer months, if the 'classic' comparable in the old part of town in the direction of their prices very steep 400 Euro dbz & increase per night! One shouldn't forget, the biggest in europe at this period about 7.5 million visitors old town (?) houses. The five restaurants were fantastic: http://www. Okura. Nl/okura- culinair /. We enjoyed especially ... the fish-menu in yamazato, the probably only in japanese restaurant Europa with 1 Michelin-star. The view in the 'ciel bleu' over the city is terrific (23. floor). Here still another tip: You should have a room with view to north, the words to the old town; best in the upper floors. Two disadvantages of this hotel: It is a bit on the edge of the old town for the visitors interesting. So you need the tram daily (2,80 Euro) or a tax (circa 17 Euro to the dam) use. The parking in the house-own underground car park beat with 35 Euro per 24 hours per day. (ams is in general is very expensive parking! ) The breakfast (subjunctive ) 32 Euro per person-( Opposite the hotel Savoy 15 Euro). We. Stayed in the 'le pain quotidien at' nearby good & inexpensive breakfast. Conclusion: today, as yesterday and quiet (!) a first tasteful address for one or two nights without breakfast in the proximity of the Albert cuyp market in old Amsterdam. We'll be back! read hotel review

Very nice hotel near the Rai convention center. Beautiful 20-metre long pool (because of the eintrittspreises of 15 Euro for each use of the health club), mostly empty. Very good but expensive breakfast (32.5 Euro) I recommend a combi breakfast & fitness to 35 Euro (dh fitness costs then only 2.5 Euro) read hotel review

Erstklssiges hotel in absolutely quiet location; still not far to the center of Amsterdam. Very good connections to the public transport. Messe Rai reachable on foot in 5 minutes. In less than 10 minutes to reach from the motorway exit. For amsterdam standards cheap parking onsite sufficiently available. Suitable for business travellers, attending trade fairs, but also for city breaks. First class service, as one knows it from japanese hotels and is used. Well trained staff. Very pleasant atmosphere and well-kept decor, in connection with the top service very to feel comfortable contributing. Gastronomy to continue, not only in the ... award-winning restaurant. Very recommendable with a large selection of fresh fish and sushi counter very tasty sushi rice. One of the few restaurants in Europa, the genuine japanese cuisine; i can judge the very good, as i often in Japan am. The changing menu in the japanese restaurant absolutely try: terrific to a terrific reasonable price. Comfortably furnished rooms with very comfortable beds. Price-performance ratio! A hotel, as everything was just right! Highly recommended! read hotel review
