Really nice hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room and bathroom were really nicely done, well maintained, and super clean.. Stable wifi in the lobby and the room. We couldn't have been happier with our stay--especially for the price! Only quibble: tiny shower. read hotel review

Hotel Niles was perfect for our two week holiday and first time in Istanbul It was perfect location to see the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia and the Grand Bazaar The hotel its lovely with an antique-style look and the most lovely and helpful staff the rooms were small but lovely, big enough for two friends to share with room for our luggage and to not get in each others way. The staff are so lovely and helpful in all areas including speaking to taxi drivers who cannot understand us. We will definitely be back here soon it was just perfect! read hotel review

Had a great two night stay at Hotel Niles. The location was perfect--less than 15 minute walk from most attractions and very close to the tram--and the staff exceedingly friendly and helpful. The architectural details were quite nice, particularly in the lobby. The rooms were small, but a good size for a building of its age. They were also very clean and functional. The shower heads are on the ceiling and are very high pressure. Perhaps my favorite part was the rooftop bar area where you can enjoy afternoon tea or a drink. Breakfast was also served up there. I'd ... recommend for any sort of traveler except for those with young kids. There was not a pool and, as mentioned, the rooms were a little tight. There is a small gym in the basement, however. The front desk staff, in particular Attila, was very helpful in arranging tours and excursions. My only quibble was that the Wifi in my particular room was a little slow. I attribute it to some quirk with the building or signal. All in all, it was a great stay. I have recommended it to several of my friends who are looking to visit Turkey. Should I return to Turkey someday, I certainly will stay in Hotel Niles. read hotel review

The rooms are comfortable, quiet, and clean, and the location is great, but the thing that makes Hotel Niles the ONLY place we would consider recommending in Istanbul is the service. We have never stayed anywhere - much less somewhere so affordable - with this kind of individual care and attention. From hot tea when we arrived to personal attendants to help us navigate sight-seeing in town, we felt pampered from beginning to end. A special thanks to Camille, a young French woman, who was a delight helping us plan our time in Istanbul. And the rooftop restaurant gave us ... the quiet we really needed before and after long days in the busy city. We cannot recommend this hotel highly enough! read hotel review

The best stay for a shopping trip in Istanbul

If you are planning a trip to Istanbul and you would like to have a hotel for having a rest from the big city, in a very clean, peacefull hotel, in a hotel with a relaxing athmosphere, then will be this hotel the right decision: location is just 10min. distance to the shops around the grand bazar (kapali carsi), the next tram station just 2min walk, bank and next useful shops around the area available by walk. Hotel staff pick you up from the airport, the very friendly and helpfull staff who is just there to be in your assistance ... and they make your stay unforgetable. And if you take the time to go for a 4pm cup of tea with cake on the terrace of the hotel, you will sit there and you will see the ships on the sea. Ses, for me this hotel was the right decision! read hotel review

My husband and I stayed in one of the junior suites, which includes a Turkish bath. Our accommodations were excellent - daily thorough cleaning of our room (including washing the floor) and good breakfast on the terrace. There is a small gym (2 treadmills, 2 bikes and hand weights). The hotel is very close to several major sites (Grand Bazaar, Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque, Gulhane Park, Topkapi Palace. The tram runs close by, which you can take to go to the Spice Market or to the Galata Bridge, or Taksim Square. YOu can also walk to these locations (my husband ... and I did it, but we love to walk and discover new cities). The staff at the hotel is a real gem. They are very accommodating and helpful. They will check in with you to make sure you are doing well and will make suggestions on places to go and see. We would highly recommend the hotel. read hotel review

The Niles Hotel was a truly wonderful experience. It is beautifully situated in the heart of the old city, a short walk from the Blue Mosque and the Hagia Sophia. The rooms are lovely; indeed, every inch of the hotel shows loving attention and good taste. Above all, the staff are warm and welcoming, eager to help in any way, friendly and efficient. The Niles ranks among the very best hotels I have known in a lifetime of travel. I hope to return sometime soon. read hotel review

Small, cosy, authentic Turkish feeling hotel on a small quiet road near all the most essential locations of the old central of Istanbul. Room was clean, nice decorated and the bed was comfortable. Free WiFi in the room. Good shower in the shower cabinet. The great buffet breakfast was included to the room price and was served on the roof top restaurant with fine sea views, where also the complimentary tea on afternoon was served.
