We stayed at the thala beach our honeymoon started. The hotel is magnificent. The complex consists of loud individual bungalows, spread out in the rainforest the hotel. Thus one lives absolutely calmly and for itself. The rooms are comfortable big and very nicely furnished. There is no stress marks. In the morning you from the parrots woke us up. The windows are all with mückengitter without holes provided. The whole complex is very original and well maintained. The beach (oak beach) is a paradise. Location
This lodge is set on 145 acres of grounds and fronts a spectacular and private 2-kilometre sandy beach, looking out to the Great Barrier Reef. The lodge is located at Oak Beach 10 minutes' drive from Port Douglas and reached by a superb 45-minute drive from Cairns Airport along the scenic Captain Cook highway overlooking the Coral Sea.
Facilities
This beach hotel comprises total of 84 rooms. It provides a natural and secluded environment for guests' relaxation and is a tranquil haven at the end of a hard days' exploring. All the hotel's bungalows are air-conditioned and stylishly decorated and have screened windows and offer sublime views either of the ocean or the forested mountains. Facilities on offer to guests at this air-conditioned establishment include a lobby area and a car park.

All rooms come with a hairdryer and are equipped with a direct dial telephone, an Internet option, a TV with remote control and a CD/DVD player and an in-room safe. Furthermore, an air conditioning ceiling fan and tea and coffee making facilities are provided in all accommodation as standard.
