We were greeted with a cup of hot soup, which did us very well ☺. The hotel is times which completely different, in the colonial style and it still seemed to be very british, but liked a great deal. The rooms were quite large only the bathroom needs time a renovation. Instead of an air conditioning system there is a heating, because quite cold at night,, also otherwise everything you need is there hair dryer, shampoo, shower gel and free safe. We stayed during our round trip for one night in the hotel. The hotel has a very nice garden area and the rooms are huge and in the colonial style. It was everything available, merely the bathroom would have once again a renovation necessary, in particular the windows. The restaurant is nicely furnished and the food was very tasty and there was a large selection available. To the front desk we were in the fireplace room with a cup of hot soup welcomes, which we all liked a great deal. … read more

For nuwara ELIA together with the Grand Hotel a very good address. We had a room in the upper Etade, wonderful decor and very big.
The prices for dinner are cheap (13 €for buffet), just wine a bit too expensive. We felt very much at ease and were in 5 minutes in the town center, too well situated.
The Grondhotel is twice as expensive ( AGODA!) and we were 10 years ago already there, a little luxury, but in our opinion is the jetwing St. Andrews adequate. … read more
