This hotel along with its sister hotel Villa Romita are set in lovely gardens with a path to to the local village of Sant' Agata ( which is a delight with shops, restaurants and bars). Its a very peaceful place away form the noise of traffic and if you want to totally relax with wonderful varied food then this is the location for you. There is a very frequent local bus service to all location sin the area. There is also a frequent free hotel bus to and from Sorrento 7 days a week.

The hotel Hermitage is located in Sant' Agata and offers most of the rooms a nice view on the Gulf of Sorrento. To the rear of the rooms have no views; sometimes they were at the height of the parking and that is the balcony not usable. Not all rooms are equipped with a balcony. If you bad luck has, you get a room in the nearby located villa. This rooms are mostly not so convenient as the main building. Otherwise one has to breakfast and dinner always main building go.

We were with a group tour guides in this hotel. It is located on the hillside above wonderful Sorrento (8 kilometer) with a fantastic view over the Bay of Sorrento in the Gulf of Naples and Mount Vesuvius. Because the Hotel is located at the edge of the town (sant' Agata is very far-flung) are ways in the place is quite far, sometimes difficult and along the road without sidewalks Hotel passing some very dangerous for pedestrians. A wonderful Panorama from the balcony and the friendliness of the staff save the big picture. The room decor is on the scrap. Only the bathroom was renovated, but definitely a shower missing.HCLFHLThe breakfast is also not the 4 star image.
