For a city hotel with 5 stars is this hotel excellent. Great service, great value, super! But unfortunately the spa is not the, the I expected, if I the information receive, the spa 'leading spa' belongs. I understand that as meaning something else. The spa treatments are very recommendable. Oriental massages are spectacular! It here nothing to be desired. The restaurant-selection is brilliant, it has actually something for every taste. This was my 4th visit to the Lausanne Palace. I appreciate its location, right in the centre. I however love it especially, because it combines tradition so well with modernity. You feel the history, it's a real Palace, you would not be surprised to meet famous people of the last century coming around the corner. When you enter the room however, everything is brand new, modern, but not cold, in the contrary, warm, cosy, wonderful. My rooms so far always had a great view over the lake. At a five star deluxe hotel I assume everything is just perfect. Reception, Service at the bar, at breakfast as well as in the room met these high standards. Bellman & Concierge did not. Nice: Check in was friendly and effective, receptionist showed me the room personally and explained the feature of the hotel.Had only breakfast at the hotel. Superbly situated in the centre of Lausanne, this luxury hotel is 300 m from the train station and only 100 m from a stop for public transport. The hotel affords a glorious view of the Alps and Lake Geneva. Geneva Airport is 65 km away.
Facilities
Occupying a traditional and historical building constructed in the year 1915, this hotel comprises a total of 150 rooms including 24 suites. The hotel offers guests exclusive interior fittings and a lobby with a 24-hour reception desk, lifts and a hairdressing salon. There are also 2 bars, an air-conditioned gourmet restaurant, a restaurant in the winter garden and a Parisian style brasserie. Guests are also offered the opportunity to visit the Red Club disco or use one of the six conference rooms. Those arriving by car may take advantage of the car park or garage facilities.
