Hotel Casolare le Terre Rosse^{(3 stars)}

The hotel is set around three beautiful San Gimignano kilometer away. We chose this us position, because we a small Tuscany-tour wanted to do. One is fast in Pisa, Siena, etc. To the hotel: the house makes a good impression from the outside and looks nice. Everything seemed very well maintained, partly comfortably furnished. It is a huge garden with a nice pool. In good weather ideal. We had a room to the garden/pool side with a nice view. The room is not bad, but something simply decorated and quite noisy. Changed on the Tuscan we would describe the room but the hotel standard was good. The breakfast was good, the selection arranged something. Dinner was also good, but it is a small local with Tuscany specialties (for example, the feral pig Pici with ragout) at a fair price. The hotel is something outside (around three-kilometer of San Gimignano). One needs thus a car also for the next supermarket (if desired). All in all, we can recommend the hotel, as the entire package has voted, the room was OK and the hotel is very well maintained and nicely decorated. …read more
