Hotel Antico Borgo Il Cardino^{(3 stars)}

Il Cardino with its twelve rooms is ideal for real relaxation, round about only 'area' and absolute peace (if one the evening chirping of the crickets and occasional reputation of the owls not taken into account). Highly recommended is a superior room with a view of San Gimiano. It is quite large with a nice terrace. The breakfast is plentiful but steady. The pool is not heated, a good thing, with over 28 degrees. The staff are very friendly and helpful. San Gimiano and volterra (a must) are between 15 and 25 minutes away by car, the Coast ' a tight hour. All in all, highly recommended. …read more
