Official description for the Hotel Cala del Sol

Playitas Grand Resort The spacious holiday complex with village character lies directly at the sandy beach. The beach promenade invites thanks to the illumination also in the evening for a pleasant stroll along the sea. The authentic fishing village Las Playitas is only a few minutes away. With the bus (bus stop in the resort) our guests may reach Gran Tarajal, the shopping city of the south with restaurants, in only 5 minutes. The new resort extends to the whole bay and composes of several hotels. The hotels are generously distributed in the beautiful garden and have direct access to the beach. The Hotel Cala del Sol (223 rooms) is situated on the steeper slope of the bay. The individual buildings are reachable very comfortable by an underground lift. On the gentler slope on the opposite lies the Aparthotel Bahía Grande (210 units).

In the resort you will find a large fitness centre, a kiosk, an Internet corner, a sail and windsurf station, a sport office. Daily free of charge sport- and animation program: art atelier, aerobic, beach volleyball, boccia, archery, Nordic walking, hiking, bicycle tours, etc. For a small extra charge: minigolf course, tennis, mountain bikes and racing cycles with tour propositions, Inline Skates, Massages, Surf-, Sail- and Dive- courses. Evening entertainment: alternately shows, games and dance For children: children animation, the Pulpino Miniclub (3-12 years), game room, playground, children pool (heated), giant waterslide. Early in 2007 there will also be 24 Villas with private pool available. These ones are freestanding on the border of the golf course. In the later summer of 2008 the 5* Hotel will complete with the second part of the 18 holes golf course the Playitas Grand Resort.
