In the west of Hamburg, where once hundreds of years ago the great gasworks generated light for all of Altona, now it's bustling with life and business. The 25hours Hotel Hamburg No.1 is part of the historic Otto von Bahrenpark. In the bordering Ottensen one can still find a remnant of the rebellious scene, but mostly there are cozy corners with tasteful cafés and attractive shopping and night life. Of course in Hamburg's west you'll find O2 world and the HSV stadium, Hamburg Congress Centre CCH and many other attractions.

We were positively surprised as we friendly staff at reception checked in. The room was big and clean, even the opposite 'guesthouse' is had didn't bother us. Found it fascinating that you a hotel not always so by default.. The hotel lies about 10 minutes on foot from the adjacent subway away and is easy to reach. Perfect hotel for a city break. 10 minutes from the hotel to the suburban train, about 15 minutes with the train to the port. We stayed 3 days/4 nights there, and it was perfect. We could after the check out the suitcase in the hotel let stand. Read more

Nice hotel nearby the city. In only two stops you're in the middle of Hamburg. The reeperbahn district and the port are super fast reached (day ticket is worthwhile). The train is really only a couple of minutes. Shops for daily Needs on the doorstep. Massive and quiet room. Only the breakfast for 14 euros I found it very overpriced, it was delicious but the price in my opinion not worth it. Parking spaces free on the doorstep. This hotel is something special! We were amazed about the great room decor; as the designer yes some thought.
There, we felt very felt at ease and also the views of Hamburg port enjoyed.
