The hotel in general
Winter season: Situated directly in the skiing area of NASSFELD-PASSO PRAMOLLO.

Our skiing guests reach the first ski-lift in only 300 m, from where they have the connection to over 100 km of pistes and 30 of the most modern lifts. In the afternoon our guests return directly to the hotel passing the most sunny side of the skiing area and the most famous après-ski points of Nassfeld.

Summer season: situated on the high sunny plateau on the Italian side of Sonnenalpe Nassfeld - Passo Pramollo, with a breathtaking view of the most beautiful mountains from Europe.

Our great location - between the Friuli hills and the lakes of Carinthia - allows a number of activities: Walks in full relaxation of the flora and fauna. Hiking in our mountains and pastures: 12 mountain pastures in half and full day trips available to sample the typical pasture produce as Gailtal bacon , Gailtal mountain cheese and homemade yogurt.

Cycling and mountain biking: At the start of the Millennium cable car you can rent a variety of equipment for summer sports. Take your bike on the cable car to the top of the mountain and later enjoy the longest run down in the Alps (11.7 km).

Centrally located also for trips in "Dreiländereck" (the merging point of three countries) between Carinthia. Slovenia and Friuli-Julian-Venetia.
Various routes for bikers: you can do more than 10 different routes, reaching the three borders Italy, Austria and Slovenia along the most scenic mountain passes of the Alps.

Excursions by car: between the historic towns of the three borders you can quickly reach Salzburg, Klagenfurt, Ljubljana, Bled and Trieste.

Entertainment on mountain: Rock labyrinth, mountain roller track, Stanley Rider, Aqua-Trail (water trail) and Pendolino (summer toboggan run), archery, rafting on the Gail.

PASSO PRAMOLLO-NASSFELD:

Our three-star hotel is situated at an altitude of 1.530 meters and 300 meters from the border with Austria, located across from the lake.
During the winter season direct position in the skiing area of Nassfeld and in summer the starting point for a variety of different tours.

Location: Austria: ca. 70 km Villach, 20 km Hermagor. Italy: ca. 100 km Udine.

How to arrive:
a) highway A23 Udine-Tarvisio, departure Pontebba, 13 km Passo Pramollo.
b) A10 Salzburg-Villach/A2 Wien-Villach, departure Hermagor, B 111 Tröpolach,
B 90 Sonnenalpe Nassfeld.

Gastronomy in the hotel
Reservations are possible on the basis of bed and breakfast (B/B) or half-board (HB).

For breakfast you are offered a substantial breakfast buffet.
Half-board includes breakfast and evening meal. Our cuisine offers you specialities from the whole of Italy. The evening meal comprises a three course dinner with a starter buffet/Antipasti (various soups and a salad buffet). As a first course we serve you Pasta and for your main course there is a choice of several dishes. Finally, there is DOLCE - the dessert buffet. BUON APPETITO!

Instead of half-board you also have the possibility to eat in our à la carte restaurant. The choice is yours! We shall be pleased to spoil you with a number of freshly prepared fish dishes and delicacies from this region. The hotel wine-card offers you an excellent selection of the very best Italian wines from the region of Friuli, Tuscany and Piemonte.

Sports, entertainment and pool in the hotel
Wellness center with sauna, steam baths, a warming bank, a whirl-pool and relaxation beds during the winter season just included in the price.

During the summer season our wellness center remains closed.
In collaboration with “Falkensteiner Hotel Sonnenalpe****” it is possible to access at the most important wellness center of the area (on payment): at just 800 meters from our hotel you will find a real paradise for your relax.

Evening tavern with an entertainment program (during the winter season).

Hotel room/Accommodation
Our hotel rooms with shower/WC, bidet, hairdryer, telephone and sat-TV can be booked in various categories. Single and double rooms, rooms with three and four beds up to spacious family rooms for 4-5 persons are available in our comfortable hotel.

A PLUS for families: 10 family rooms 2 separate bedrooms - a parents' bedroom with a matrimonial bed as well as a further bedroom with 2 or 3 single beds respectively, a bathroom with shower/WC. Several rooms have a small ante-room and a balcony.
There are no cooking facilities.

Kindly note that rooms are not available before 16.00 hrs on your day of arrival.
On your day of departure rooms must be vacated by 10.00 hrs.
