The hotel itself is good, the front desk is friendly and the staff in general is very friendly. Our rooms were unfortunately very small, so there was no closet, so we had to leave things in the bags. The hygiene and the cleanliness left a lot to be desired, but the cleaning staff was ready to clean the room again. The breakfast was very tasty, everything was organic products. A very large plus is the location, a three minute walk to Tivoli, and in ten minutes in the shopping area. Read more

As people on business trip I am always looking for a little 'other' hotel, where you just feel welcome.
The axel is such a house. It is a kind of 'eco-hotel': from the furniture on the organic breakfast buffet to the towels ('sustainable fabrics') is everything in eco-or bio-available. I like the high narrow hallways with the loud creaking floors made of old wood parquet, criticized in previous reviews. We booked this hotel last minute and were not disappointed. The room room was bright and comfortable, but rather small for two people. We didn't have breakfast in the hotel, but in one of the cafes on the Halmtorvet nearby.
