For our city trip to venice we chose the b&b dolce vita, as we travelled with ryanair in treviso ended up.
As soon as we arrived the owner (very friendly and helpful) just valuable tips and suggestions to visit venice given.
nearby the house is a bus station, from the main station from treviso can be reached relatively quickly. From there you need for 1/2 hour train ride to venice about
For a city trip the b&b is perfectly ok, the breakfast was for Italian conditions great diversity of food and beverage choices.
