For a city break this is a very recommendable hotel with good central location. The hotel has gotten a bit old, but the rooms are neat, the bathroom was okay. The breakfast buffet was good and plentiful, the breakfast room a bit on different groups but busy. Read more

The large Hotelkasten is located on a very busy road directly with the Keleti railway station. cross the street can abominable unpleasant, in the evening, as many homeless people in the underpass. Overall, the surrounding area wasn't very great, a railway station area. During our stay there were only groups present in the hotel, all turned up at once for breakfast, therefore the volume. Rooms on main road unbearably loud - you have to keep the windows closed. Food there is shortly after 10 pm NOT more although capitalized the until 11 pm cuisine. Also no gastronomy in the immediate area. The attached to the hotel parking garage costs 25 euro per day, --! The staff was very nice and helpful. There were many languages spoken (English, German, Spanish ... ). The room was big enough, unfortunately, there was no balcony available. Safe was also in the room. There is a stocked refrigerator and 4 German TV channels (ZDF, RTL, SAT1, KIKA). The room was clean, the towels were changed on request. The staff at the front desk helpful and knowledgeble, rooms were clean, although not 4 star to North American standards.
