Backpackers Villa Sonnenhof has a calm and friendly atmosphere. All rooms are clean and some come with Jungfrau-view balconies. In our newly opened extension building all rooms are ensuite and are equipped with a comfortable airing system. There is no curfew or lockout and no membership required.
The hostel right in the centre of Interlaken is particularly suitable for families and everyone who wants to stay on a budget but still enjoy that little extra.
Prices start from CHF 37.- in dormitories.

Backpackers Villa is in walking distance from both train stations (about 10-15 minutes) in the centre of Interlaken at the corner Alpenstrasse/Parkstrasse.
From 'Interlaken West' station:
Turn left and follow the main street (Bahnhofstrasse) to the town center. At the roundabout (Postoffice) turn right and follow Centralstrasse. At the traffic lights (hotels National & Savoy) turn left and follow Alpenstrasse along the park. We are on the next roundabout.
Or take bus no. 2 (direction 'Interlaken Ost - Ringgenberg') to stop 'Sonnenhof'.

From 'Interlaken Ost' (East) station:

The rooms in the old building was pleasant and very inexpensive.
The night in the single room (new building) was too expensive, since despite hotel price the feeling had, in a massenschlag to logieren. Dauerhusten of neighboring rooms, as well as much noise from and departing persons (which probably not always so is). Apart from that was the room very new, large and nicely. All together -the hostel is very recommendable!

the hotel is large enough for multiple groups without restraining to work. In the common kitchen will not only together cooked, but each other meet. The rather young effective atmosphere radiates throughout the a pleasant and fresh atmosphere from. The breakfast saturates and is adequate, but not opulent.

We stayed for 1 night in a private room in the newly building of Backpackers Villa Sonnenhof. It has private bathroom. We have no complain on the room, the facilities, the service. They are all great. We skip breakfast since we have to leave early so cannot review on that, but they gave us some cookies to replace the breakfast. It was a kind thought.
