Very small and spartan room! Window can only be opened up a crack, airing almost not possible. The area "Centrum-Noord" which is rather unattractive and is characterized by "underclass-flats" from. Fortunately, the police right next to the hotel. ;) Parking quite good and free, high-quality and great car anyway in Amsterdam are not recommended at all .... The breakfast for 13.50 Euro is not a bargain and therefore have breakfast in Amsterdam. The amount will appear to the receipt, for payment at check-out if, of course not deducted at breakfast.
The rooms and the house excercise bathroom is ok. However, it with the dust on wall-to-wall carpet not taken seriously (shoes). But didn't ruin the picture. for non-smokers is recommended to a non-smoking area. Coffee and tea is available for free with a kettle. In the mini-bar is a little frills.

The Bastion hotel is located in the north of Amsterdam, no 10 minutes bus ride from the city center. It offers plenty of free parking in front of the hotel, which also directly from the police station are visible guarded, so to speak. The bus number 32 and 33 goes directly next to the hotel in the city. A 24 hour ticket for 7.00 pound, so you can use all public transport (tram, bus, metro) or also a 48 hour ticket. I fould most of the staff ok but on our first night I asked the young lady at the front what number bus to catch to the cit center, she told me that "she could tell me but I can just go to the bus stop to find out for myself" I then asked what number night bus I can get back and she told me "she could also tell me that but I could go to the bus stop to find out myself" so I walked off to the bus stop to find none of it was written in english!
