Very nice, so-called boutique hotel (at least a 4 star standard) in the middle of the old town of Damascus. In the pre season, in February, it is not very crowded and still inexpensive - 110€ including breakfast. Very nice and large rooms facing the courtyard - bathroom tastefully and modernly furnished. Other guests were mostly Europeans on culture travel.
The room was very nice - air conditioning (but not necessary at our time of stay) - direct access to the nice courtyard with a fountain, which we had almost to ourselves (pre season).
