The hotel in general
The biohotelUcliva was Switzerland’s first eco hotel. Already 28 years ago, the founders had a vision of a sustainable tourism in the mountains. Hotel manager and owners consequently followed this vision, and improvements are constantly being done, for the well being of our guests and our environment. Purchases are mostly done locally i.e. in the region. All products are bio-certified. The hotel is heated with local wood and the sun, which means climate-neutral, and we consume eco current with the label naturmade star only. For this reason,Geo Saison chose us in January 2011 as one of the best 100 hotels of Europe. This award honored our efforts and motivates us to go further ahead in the above mentioned direction.

Very pleasant hotel, the best suitable for quiet and relaxing Winter and hiking holidays. Ski lift a few meters next to the hotel. In the winter many hiking and possibilities for hiking. Good price-, performance proportion. Read more

Positive: the hotel was located very remote so it is very quiet we are still good reachable by car. The rooms are newly renovated, nicely decorated and very clean. The breakfast buffet (everything in bio-quality) is really very good. Especially we really enjoyed the freshly baked bread and coffee. Negative: the bathroom is very small and was not renovated, showing the years-but it is very clean. The house is very loud, you can hear if in a room next to or above the bathroom was used. the hotel is freshly renovated with a very pleasant atmosphere. You will be particularly conscious and bio-lovers. The staff are very friendly, the bio cuisine excellent. We have the stay we really enjoyed.
the stay in winter is especially for skiers ideal (chair lift right next door). For non-skiers are some Winterwanderwge groomed. Sights at the place are the church and two romantic Burgruninen. Many Options for excursions in the surselva and the lateral valleys with postal van/train or private car. Read more
