We were very disappointed. The lady at the front desk was rather unfriendly. The room had a weird odor. The window, without curtain, was not cleaned at least two years and really dirty. The whole room felt uncomfortable. The bed was small, but the mattress was quite good. The hot water didn't work, which we discovered at the showers. At the front desk they said, there would be a common shower area on the floor (problem was pretty good). Oban is a great city and the surrounding area is very nice and very Scottish. We are in the city and wanted to get some small for dinner. The menu sounded very delicious, but then it was only downhill! We ordered sandwiches, the absolutely were more inedible. Absolutely not to be recommended! The staff was very unfriendly and took a very long time to get to our complaint to react appropriately. Please don't go! Read more

We stayed during a Scotland tour at this hotel for 2 days. It suited the area, old and mysterious creaking floorboards softly in the room. Not disturbing, almost romantic. The rooms are very high and large, friendly and clean. Given the age of the building is a nice and cozy hotel. You have at least a basic knowledge of English (or bring a dictionary) to be able to communicate, however in the rural area of Scotland everywhere.
