Clarion Hotel Dublin Airport

The hotel might never have four stars! There is no elevator to the rooms (only to the suites), and this is for a place by the airport, where all come with luggage, totally unacceptable. The overall impression is, that it is perhaps time looked good, as it was still new, but in the meantime everything is worn and tired and thereby it dingy. Cleanliness is, by objective standards, but okay. Bus transfer from the airport cost extra, as well as the balance for the luggage and Internet access. In the room despite the closeness of the airport quiet. The cleanliness of the room and the bathroom left a lot to be desired. No drinks in the room. Long corridors and no elevators, the distance of the room with a lot of luggage is a pain. In the restaurant the staff was absolutely unfriendly. It was very loud. As we had An early flight started, this was the perfect place for us. We were pleasantly surprised. Very clean and modern. The rooms were really big and had TV and safe nor kettle and iron/ironing board ... What personally I didn't mind, was the fire alarm right over the bed, the red blinked in the night. All in all this hotel is highly recommended if you want to from or to the airport. It would be centrally in Dublin, we would have been booked quite long! Read more

The hotel made scared a rather good impression. Lobby is friendly and everything was clean and well maintained. The carpet in the room (as well as in the hallways) is older, and stained. Also it smelled a bit strange. Here you would need to improve. Room was otherwise clean, nothing more, nothing less. Bathroom was ok, 3 -star standard. Bed was clean, no stains, no hair etc. .. The room was ok, but nothing special. For airport transfers from the airport had to despite the proximity of the hotel to the hotel about 15 minutes to call. Ridiculous is the payment of EUR 1 per person for the use of the shuttle to the airport. This should be included in the room rate. Also the driver not even older people at/unloading helped.
