... of curiosity, you are right in the Dusit pattaya. Close, but way. The hotel bears its 5-star dress to the outside world, including many things should change. The mixed couples among the guests are mostly married, probably mostly with each other. It would be good, if you are there to do business, therefor the hotel is designed. The hotel made a very upscale impression of Grandhotells. This impression in the public areas fully fulfilled.
As described above, the rooms are a bit worn, but it was still very comfortable. As a family we have the immediate course avoided in pattaya, therefor we can recommend all three restaurants.

The hotel was for us the best in high-altitude of pattaya Bay. One had a private beach section, and need to cross the busy street.
The BBQ Saturday is second to none everyone. At low tide the beach is not the best, but the hotel made up for it again. If and when I return to pattaya will always come back to this hotel. Read more

I have since 25 years on a regular basis and Dusit pattaya. As in all other things, the ravages of time to the whole area. It is regularly renovated and remodelled, but " new " is something else. We had a great stay at this hotel so clean and friendly we could not fault it, was so nice to go back to our lovely cool room to relax after a hot day on the beach, staff great the only thing i would say is that the hotel was expensive so we would dine out which was a shame as we would have spent more time and money in the hotel but a great base to stay would recomend it to anyone. - in November 09

There are plenty of good restaurants locally, all of which serve Thai & western fayre - we enjoyed a fantastic Gully's steak at 'Gullivers' on the beach road as well as lots of wonderful Thai meals - the rock lobster at Baboonas was delicious & really good value.

The rooms are perhaps a little tired with the carpeting in need of replacement (this is being carried out on a rolling program) but they are spotlessly clean and fresh flowers are provided together with daily fresh fruit and other treats (chocolates or cake). - in February 10
Staying on the top floor you get a few little extras, you have seperate checking in area, free newspaper every day, fresh fruit and water in your room every day, free dry cleaning, pillow menu, seperate dining room over looking the bay and free canapes and drinks every afternoon - you really can't ask for much more.

Ice cold water was brought to us at least twice a day and although the main towels covering the sunbeds on a morning were in place, it did not mean the beds were taken, another towel was placed over the headrest by the pool boys, it merely quickened your bed being prepared for you, meaning more time in the sun. - in December 09
