I had the pleasure of staying nine days at the Eiger Guesthouse in Murren in July, 2008. The guesthouse was discovered through MySwitzerland.com web site. Direct inquires by e-mail resulted in immediate, informative, and courteous response by the owners Alan and Veronique Ramsay-Fluck. A few follow-up telephone calls from America confirmed their friendly tone and commitment to guest service. Eiger Guesthouse is a Swiss Chalet. It is very clean and quant. Our beds were very comfortable with great pillows and comforters. It included breakfast. Breathtaking mountain views. Very family oriented. It included use of nearby health club.
We had two rooms. Both had two twin beds pushed together. Each room had two windows looking out, one to the front and one to the side. One room had a balcony. ... were not disturbed as it is so small. The view to the Eiger Monch and Jungfrau is just incredible, it has to be seen to be believed. Since Muerren is car free you have to leave the car down in the valley.
As guests we received free entrance to the jacuzzi and swimming pool at the sports centre, Unfortunately it was only open in the afternoons and closed early evening. There is a games room in the hotel with pool table, darts and internet station.... Read more
