This was a small hotel where my husband and I immediately were made to feel at home. The room was beautiful with a balcony overlooking the lake, we slept with the doors to the balcony open listening to the sound of the lake washing up on the rocks and would wake up to a wonderfully prepared breakfast buffet out on the terrace. Most of the guests were older, from other countries in Europe. The owners of the hotel were very friendly and helpful at all times. Hotel Garni-completely refurbished to a very high standard in 1999/2001-bed & breakfast but with other small meals and refreshments available.The hotel has a small secluded courtyard garden right by the lake, where breakfast and other refreshments can be taken, and from which easy access to the water is possible. From your hotel balcony you can easily throw a pebble into the lake or just take in the mountain panorama and the lush trees and plants on the lake-side patio below. It's a spotless, new, quite modern but cozy place. If you fly into or out of Zurich (1.5 hours drive), this is your must stay place for at least 2 to 5 days. With our family it's a tradition! This is a Garni Hotel comprising ground and three floors (with lift access) providing superb bed & breakfast accommodation together with an excellent light evening meal if required. The 12 rooms are all beautifully and tastefully appointed, light and airy and laid out within a fairly modern building of clean lines. It has free access to the internet.
