As a regular I refuse to accept the fact, that every weekend 150 to 200 Sinhalese from Colombo with kith and kin this hotel take ownership. That is to say in three weeks vacation you can forget about the weekends, as the pools or the restaurants to use. There is also no sleep during this time. If you are looking for a relaxing holiday away from the stress of everyday needs, is here exactly correct! The enormous entrance stole the breath and if you are in the entrance area of the hotel, are good shopping options near the hotel!
Great view of the huge pool with adjacent sea.

The first impression with the pompous Hotel entrance and the view of the large pool and the sea behind pension Berlin on the way, what you expected!
The resort after the tsunami 2004 should not have been more tidy renovated.
The front desk does not look bad, if it weren't for the horrible and careless staff!
The first room, the reserved for US was, was a joke of the trip (small, dirty, damp, moldy and on the ground floor of a Hoteltracktes, which busy-so loud). We had booked a Deluxe room!!!

To be used for hammers, the gave us very, very disturbed, after a week we got a different room. The noise took six hours per day

I believe the reason this holiday was exceptional was the hard work and dedication from all the staff from the manager to the guys who clean the rooms whose ethos is to make our dream holiday come true and they certainly did that . - in September 09

The beach boys were a bit of a problem as they did hassle when you just wanted a peaceful stroll along the shore, but they were friendly and unthreatening and obviously just trying to relieve guests/tourists of a few rupees in exchange for their products - happens in most countries!

I had so many variations on getting a cup of earl grey they were green tea, warm milk, teabags and nothing else including water or a cup, they ran out of tea bags I supplied my own and then tea arriving 30 minutes later when you're just about to leave.
