The hotel in general
This nice small family-owned hotel was founded in the „Swinging Sixties", out of a historical mill with roots back to the 14. century - a veritable gem, in the midst of an unspoiled nature. Up to 50 guests will enjoy its calmness, find recuperation, and savour local dishes with game that was hunted on the hotel's own grounds.
Hotel location
In the midst of woods and vast green meadows, yet near to a major highway - such is the location of the “Eisenbachtal” valley and the "Studentenmuehle": Right in the middle of Frankfurt and Cologne, at only 5 minutes distance from autobahn A 3.
Our hotel can be easily reached:
•via autobahn A 3: exit Diez/Nentershausen 4 km; exit Montabaur 6 km.
• by train: ICE train station Montabaur 6 km; ICE train station Limburg 12 km.
Service at the hotel
Upon advance notice, we arrange for a free transfer to the hotel from both train stations - Montabaur or Limburg.
Gastronomy in the hotel
Enjoy a regional and hearty cuisine, with game specialties hunted on the hotel's own grounds, and barbecue evenings during summertime.
Sports, entertainment and pool in the hotel
The hotel is an ideal place to start on a hike, bike or horseback tour, or to go on excursion. The surrounding valleys and nature resorts as well as the Rhine river are worth visiting. Also, a variety of hiking paths invite you to discover nature and historical sights around.
