The hotel in general
Night lodge is situated in the heart of Hamburg, between all central amenities and attractions. It is a small hostel, providing comfortable double rooms in a relaxed yet affordable hostel environment. Our hostel is situated between Planten un Bloomen (large attractive park), Sternscahanze and the university. Dammtor train station (one of the largest stations) is a five minute walk from hostel. From Dammtor there are excellent Connections to other parts of the city including main tourist attractions, for example St Pauli, Harbour, town hall market and the inner city, all of which can also be reached by foot from our hostel.
The reception lies just below the main entrance of the hostel, Lodgings-Hamburg is written on the door and it is just down the steps at the address of our hostel (Bundesstrasse 8). There you will be able to collect your key and bed linen. The shower and toilet can be found in the hall.
Our mini-hostel has one main shower room and one toilet. There is however another separate shower and bathroom.
Internet use through a wireless-LAN connection/ it is accessible through out entire hostel.
You have the option of using our internet connection. What you will need is a web key. This we will provide with the booking confirmation. With a USB stick you can copy this code and enter the mini-hostel internet yourself. If you have not brought a computer internet use is still possible with the use of hostel pc.
Smoking is forbidden within the hostel.
The full payment must be made when you arrive; there is a bank very near by with an ATM. It is our priority to ensure that our guests feel comfortable during their stay with us; for this we believe a high standard of cleanliness to be of utmost importance, therefore we have daily cleaning this includes the bedrooms as well as kitchen and bathrooms.

Hotel location
Located between Sternschanze, the university campus and Planten un Bloomen, our flat is positioned very conveniently, it is half way between the main train station and Altona. All other districts of the city can be easily reached from this point, for example the Reeperbahn (main party area), the fish market, city centre etc, most can be reached within 10 minutes on the train. The popular area named Sternschanze is very near by, less than a ten minute walk, or 3 minutes by train.

Sports, entertainment and pool in the hotel
Being in close proximity to the university means that there are many quant shops, bars and café’s within the local area. This creates a great atmosphere and good shopping opportunities. There is also a supermarket very close by. Two doors down from the hostel lies a small and friendly Celtic inspired bar named "Zum tanzenden Einhorn" here you can get various beverages and great local beers, also in the neighbourhood, there is an Australian bar, it is only four doors away from the hostel, and there you will be met with an authentic Aussie experience, as it is called the "Downunder" the name in itself says it all. This bar has great food served until midnight with many drinks, not to mention a few Australian beers and a friendly relaxed and fun ambiance.
