Very central location directly on the Leidseplein where there are quite a few bars and restaurants and to the museums it is also not far up to ten minutes walking distance.
Very good tram connections.
In every room there was a shower and toilet. You should definitely bring towels, soap and a castle in the closet, but also for a fee at the front desk.
Breakfast is included in the price, it was the same every day, but still a pretty large selection.

I have stayed in some hostels, which belongs to the upper middle class.
Stayokay Amsterdam vondelpark the hostel is situated right by the vondelpark, just 100 meters away from the Leidseplein (a place with lots of restaurants and bars and one of the nodes of the tram).
I had a 6-bed female room for a night booked (Multi-bed rooms standard with view to the land side) and in the fourth floor in the hotel's immediate vicinity. During my stay, the elevator did not work. Check in at midnight was not a problem.

Overall, we were satisfied with the hostel. It is a nice location and good deals to be had (discounts, etc.). Lobby, room and breakfast were great, the bathroom was terrible (moldy and with a lot of chlorine-to shower we would recommend the nearby swimming pool). Stayokay vondelpark is the hostel is up until now the cleanest hostel, that I have found my various Amsterdam visit. It is situated in the heart of the vondelpark, a wonderful city park. Nearby is the Leidseplein with many restaurants and nightlife. The Leidseplein is also one of the nodes of the tram in Amsterdam, so that it was relatively easy to reach the other quarters. From the central station takes you about 15-20 minutes with the tram. From the hostel it is also not too far to walk to the major museums in Amsterdam.
