The hotel Alt Deutz is not close to the city/central. - the room in the hotel Alt Deutz seemed very old and not comfortable ( washbasin not in the bathroom, but in the room; bed at the window without bedside tables; orangefarbener curtain was not possibility to darken for the night; carpet seemed very neglected/uncomfortable; only a manual per person available, only on demand there was another towel; tv-device was probably the smallest device the world and there was a small CRT TV instead of a flat screen, a under the ceiling, in the corner... The breakfast buffet is for the size of the hotel excellent. Daily newspapers and fruit, salads round the buffet from. Peaceful location nearby the street 'Deutzer freedom' -except, possibly, of carnival. The hotel is in Fußgängereichweite from the Deutzer train station. The staff are attentive and very friendly. We travel 1 times in the year as Frauenclique to carnival to Cologne and are always on the search after a hotel nearby the kölnarena stadium. After 5 years we have finally found one, the only 5 minutes walking is! Also in the old town one runs scarcely 15 minutes, so that you this hotel also good for a city break can use ☺ the breakfast is extensive and anytime again refilled.
