The Hotel in so-called Ring-street style was built in 1902 and offers 42 rooms and suites. On 5 floors, each room is designed individually and furnished in different styles. Very comfortable and colourful designer pieces of furniture, parquet floors, unusual lights and contemporary paintings turn each room into your personal living room.
The basic principle of the owner Sir Otto Ernst Wiesenthal is: To create a place where everybody likes to spend time. The Hotel Altstadt Vienna is a meeting point for artists, musicians and actors and an insider tip for persons who recently felt in love. Moreover, it is a quiet place to relax for business travellers.

The Hotel Altstadt Vienna is located in the artistic centre of Vienna, near the famous Museums Quarter with the Museum Leopold and the Museum for Modern Art. The walking distance to the world famous Ringstraße is about 10 minutes and to the Hofburg and Spanish Riding School is about 15 minutes. The St. Stevens Cathedral is about 20 minutes away by foot. The longest shopping street in Vienna, called Mariahilfer Straße, is 5 minutes away by foot. The nearest underground station, named Volkstheater, with underground number 2 and 3 is within 500 meters walking distance from the hotel.

Nice small individual hotel with a competent staff. The rooms are colourful and artistically renovated, with large windows and high ceilings, as usual in an old building. The hotel offers more than it promises. We were from the first minute from the friendly and open nature of the staff impressed. No extra charge us was offered the 'suite' Bösendorfer , an offer, of course, the we could not refuse. The suite was and is a gem, equipped with a very nice wing it possessed three spacious room.
