Historic reasons for visiting Ammon Zeus hotel.
Ammon Zeus was built in 1969 and it was the first hotel built in Halkidiki. Before the hotel was built, a Russian monastery was situated in the exact same place. You can still see parts of that monastery and the hotels Church is more than a 150 years old. Fragments of walls and columns, from that period, are scattered in the hotel area. Exactly right next to the Hotel you can see the ruins of the temple of Ammon Zeus which is dated back to the 4th century B.C. The temple can be easily reached by the beach and it is exactly next to the hotel’s pool bar.

The location of the hotel right on the sea front, makes the hotel unique. great beach the sea sloped. ideal for children! There were so many families there. We had booked a double room with sea view. Sensational! From the bed you can see the sunrise. Everything was very clean. The bathroom was comfortable and the bathtub was fun! The sanitary facilities were a bit hard to get used to. Directly on a beautiful beach with shallow walk into the sea, a very clean great pool, whoever wants to complain will always find something, we can't complain. us as a couple of years and 41 26 liked it, although end May April beginning not much was going on, we were treated very friendly and felt very comfortable... We say 'Thank You' to Chalkidiki.

The rooms are very tidy but quite small don't think the cleaners every day the rooms clean and new towels if you put it on the floor. The food is good and the selection is ok. The reception staff are fairly rude and bored. In October the weather was pretty bad. Only rain and wind. Rooms on the sea is very loud, you can sleep.
