Make the Mahout -training the elephant, a wonderful experience in wonderful environment. A beautiful view from the hotel, unfortunately not on the Mekong. The food is really Thai and Western bland, as appropriate other Resorts. Very recommendable, the value for money is true. Read more

wonderful first class hotel in a wonderful tropical surroundings and especially friendly and professional staff (and elephants). An experience, but the total opposite of the existing situation of most of the inhabitants of the country. You have to be aware of that.
Don't be surprised if you are traveling from satisfied and luscious elephant close quiet Che will probably be woken up. Read more

The beds are hard, and tired (so much so that the edges of the mattress curve up) - for such an expensive hotel, i think the mattresses should be renewed, or of a higher quality (like those used at Sheraton Sukhumvit in Bangkok).
