Great area, almost like a small village, but right at the shopping promenade. It was nicely quiet in the area, we barely heard the street noise from outside. The ways to the shopping possibilities after the very rich meals were short. The area and the rooms were cleaned every day, the staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel is very nice, it looks like Crete village. Location of the hotel is perfect - right at the end of the main street which makes it perfect if you like shopping and going for drinks/food outside the hotel. When you enter the hotel it seems you find yourself in a green quiet oasis after noisy streets of the city. We stayed with family at this hotel for the 5th time. ... find me other hotel of proper standard ( Aquis Blue Sea) Avoid it. As I found out hotel will be renovated after 2009 season. Hopefully next year they will improve. I don't recommend it especially for families with smaller children - a lot of stone stairs (dangerous), no playgound area or pool for children. Food was rather OK, quite wide choice of disches. We have spend our 20th stay in Silva this summer. This is our second home. Thanks to all the staff: Haroula is my best friend! Greetings also to old friends Stella (manager) Lefteris and Nikos (headwaiters), Dimitra (cleaning our room) and many, many more... This year we got new friends in Silva: Diana, Karolina and Tomek from the animation team, and Lenka and Kostas in the Romantic Bar. Thank you for making this vacation the best one ever! The hotel is very nicely located, with many small houses and very beautiful plantings and trees. A pool is in the middle of the hotel location and it's very good observable for the parents. The other pool is situated almost at the sea. Everything is very clean and all employees are very friendly without being intrusive and chumming up.
