The hotel was very clean and beautiful, the rooms very spacious, exactly like the bathroom. Unfortunately, what was missing was the hair dryer. Altogether the staff were very friendly only the service staff in the dining room was very unfriendly and annoyed. As we have highlighted, that the drink prices somewhat greater (mineral 0. 25 millilitre= 3:00 euros), we shall have to answer: if we are not able to afford, we should stay at home ( also still some other unfriendly situations in the dining room). Altogether a very nice relaxation weekends! The staff at reception and in the restaurant seemed a bit cold, but you get what you want. The breakfast buffet was good and plentiful. The room was huge, the furniture rustic, but partly already very battered too. The bathroom was very clean, but the headboard of the bed there was a thick layer of dust. Altogether the hotel is huge and very winding, to sauna/ swimming pool is a' hike' by long, passages necessary! In a corresponding value for money we would go again. Read more

We were 4 days the bachmair am See, with the whole family ( children 8 and 11 years ). The vacation we really liked, the hotel has a top-location. The children were the activities loved it. The food was very well, and also in the area there is lots of restaurants. To the center from Rottach-Egern there are 10 minutes on foot. In this stay we had a small but fine room in the main building (603). Furnished in a friendly country-house style with wonderful views and balcony to the Tegernsee. We felt but also in the other Parts of the hotel were always extremely comfortable. The rooms are very different, but always very comfortable and left no comforts! Peace; good and friendly service; large room with four-poster beds and connecting door (you can hear from the hallway or from the neighbors), bathroom with separate WC; bed sheets and hand towels were changed after 1 night, very extensive breakfast buffet, and dinner feinschmeckendes austreichendes (Lammrückensteak),Despite many of the negative reviews we can only say, that we felt comfortable and can recommend this place in a heartbeat.
