Hotel Balaia Plaza

The hotel made a good impression. The rooms were always clean. The pools were good also. The traffic on the road didn't bother us. The only problem was the childrens playground, in a very poor condition. Other than that, it is a good hotel. The way to the beach was not a problem. The hotel was located directly on a day-driven street. The staff was always friendly and mostly spoke English quite well. The rooms were quite clairaudient, so if you closed the door you also very clearly the front desk could hear the fountain. The rooms and the entire hotel were clean. The rooms are very large and conform with the figures in the catalog. We got a room in the travel agency in a small apartment building on the top floor and booked. However we stayed at 2 . ... a god send. There is a on site supermarket that is very convinient if not a little expensive. The evening entertainment was basic but fun, the pool and pool bar were both very nice and not to far to walk. The first choice rep was great and was always ready to help with excursions, advice or problems you may encounter. the only down side was that the algarve is very hilly so the walk to the beach or into the town is a bit of a trek, but this did not take away anything from a great holiday. I would deffinatly go back to the Balaia Plaza agian. Read more
