Hotel Barcelo Bavaro Caribe

This hotel, and this in the same place ownership Barcelo Bavaro Beach is currently completely renovated, both are mid-1980 and have built needed it badly. In the geamten resort, there are in total 6 hotels with three pools in the beach. Two of them also closed. These focus all guests on a pool at the beach as well as on the beach. There was chaos at the front desk when we arrived, the staff there didn't seem to be trained. It was not possible to communicate in English. Unbelievable! We waited 1.5 hours in a crowd of angry people - after this long trip - in order to get our room. We were not served, let alone greeted. The building, where our room was, was mostly without electricity - so the hallway that led to the rooms - dark. After we were changed from the Bavaro Golf to the Caribe, it has a very nice holiday! The beach and the ocean was fantastic and you can always find a beach chair and a place with shade, also far enough away from the standing activities in the pool area. The golf course is currently on "budget" ( only nine holes and no driving range) powered. But the price compared to the other places very cheap. was fun anyway! Room, service and food was mostly good and we are very relaxing after returning home. Read more
