Would come again to the La Galea. The staff was very friendly, the complex has Chamre, the Costa teguise was better than described in the travel guide. Great walk along the promenade possible, choose between three bays, bike rent on the site (great service, super bikes)-recommend a tour to Puerto del Carmen. We enjoyed our holiday here. We had an apartment with a view to the road, some morning when the balcony door was quite loud, for example if the garbage was disposed or food at the hotel was delivered. Our two rooms were sufficiently large, the bed wide, change of bed linen twice a week; towels were changed on request, daily. The beds were made daily, it was swept every few days. This Hotel is ideal for a short hop to the beach & the few available shops and bars etc, the food is ok, if the hotel is not full the same food will resurface in the form of different sauces or veg either the next day or the evening meal, the snack bar has a good choice for all, and kids can get there own without you moving a muscle from your sun lounger, the waiters work very hard, reception do not like complaints, but they are handle without any problem, as with any holiday the weather is the key to it all, as i was there for 2 weeks and only had one cloudy day, so if basking is your thing, (perfect), i must admit i enjoy my stay and am planning another 2 weeks in November. - in February 10

Evening entertainment is just as bad as last time with the only exceptions being a Gypsy flamenco dance group and a Rio samba dance group both being really good entertainment , sorry but everything else was pretty poor in comparisson, even with a help yourself bar.

we just came back from the barcelo we stayed there for ten days it was fab the food brillient loads to choose from the drinks help yourself the staff friendly the only thing i think should be addressed is the entertainment drr none egsistant if you call music playing whilst the entertainment staff sit behind the glass smoking and looking at the screen entertainment then go for it the shows they did put on were rubbish we went back to our room and watched tv most nights there was one night one young lad from the audience got up and danced to micheal jackson he was a down syndrome lad the best entertainment all week better then the paid ones it was always the same singer with guitar or a organ and one night he had a lady with him all she did was dance i no i am in my late fourties but not to the stage i want to sing along to elvis and neil diamond im still young at heart daytime entertainment 15mins shuttle or pool that was it there entertaiment staff were lazy thats all i can say but as for the hotel definatley go back theres plenty of bars and reserants to go to and shops to visit the beach superb - in August 10

Cold food no waiting staff Chicken on the Menu to often cold DIRTY PLATES TO EAT OFF sometimes no tables to sit at Restaurant sections closed off ,Ali in the bar on his own most nights Jordi on reception was very helpful though: Overall I think the Barcelo group is on a cost cutting exercise as there were only two waiters on duty for breakfast dinner and lunch most days With a full Restaurant this was obviously Not enough staff If this group wants to gain customers It ought to look at its staffing levels and levels of customer service

The balcony was made of wood which was literally breaking off in our hands, the view was a disused back alley with broken glass windows and boarded up shops! - in May 10

i could go on and on, but overall this hotel is very worthy of its 3 keys rating, the staff were all excellent, the gardens, pool etc also very nice, there is building work next door, but it did not annoy us, (we were right next to it), when it is done it will make the whole area a lot nicer.
