... a whole complex of from 5 different hotels. If you are staying at the Barcelo Maya tropical experienced, you should all areas of the other hotels use except from teuerstem, the deluxe. Everything is all inclusive. From young to old were during our travels all age groups represented. The majority of the guests are Americans and some Russians. At the end our vacation were even some Mexican families since. The whole complex is wonderful and best well-kept.

A definite recommendation, but if you (like us) the very intensive pool disco music (1 hour daily 2 times) with boom boom-music you don't like the whole area, should the complex avoid. Even in the ocean was annoying Boom Boom booming noise. There was no escape! Read more

so the but..., we were the second time at the Barcelo, the first time in the year 2010 at the Caribe, have a judge. The hotel complex, the grounds and the beach is so much written about, since I could not agree more: top area. But if you like this year we in a very full area (spring break), in the morning already early in the morning to the pool/beach must take, in order to make has longed to be opened to spread out a towel on the pool chairs (place in the shade), to eat on the way to one of the two restaurants and the space at the Caribe. We had booked 14 days/all inclusive and were in the tropical very good. It was spring break and the hotel was full of US citizens. But it was never really full, since the complex is huge. The facilities of the tropical is identical to the colonial. The palace is the dream and the Maya beach in günstigerem price. If you 'a bit more luxury' like expected, should book at least colonial/tropical. Generally you can relax in the area very well and be pampered. We had to discover (Belize, pyramids, flamingos, goose, etc.) a rental car from Germany.... Read more

Very good hotel, definite recommendation! Dream beach, a luxury resort with great food and friendly staff. Sufficient 1 dollar bills for tipping is not obligatory., but the service was well worth it. German at the staff not available, which we however rather pleasant.
Drive 15 years are in the Caribbean and this hotel is one of the best hotels we have booked. Read more
