Hotel Basel is the only Hotel in basels old town. It has 4* and 72 modern equiped guestrooms on 5 floors.
Hotel location
Hotel Basel is the only hotel in Basels picturesque old town. Situated centrally in the pedestrian area the rooms are very quiet. You can get anywhere easily by public transportation. The Mobility Ticket which enables you to use public transportation for free is included in the room rate.
Service at the hotel
Hotel Basel is a sophisticated 4* hotel. We offer car valet service, baggage service, concierge service, 24 hour reception service, room service, business corner with intenet and printer, free W-Lan with Swisscom Hotspot in the whole hotel.
Gastronomy in the hotel
There are 2 restaurants: Brasserie Steiger and the Sperber Bar. We serve brasserie style cuisine on 7 days a week from 11 am to 11 pm. Both restaurants are non smoking.
There is 1 confernece rooms (up to 15 pers.) and 1 banqueting room for up to 90 pers..

Switzerland is always a bit more expensive, therefor from a German perspective I do not top marks for the price/performance ratio. Very comfortable hotel with modern touches. One takes the breakfast in the cellar-a wonderful ambiance. Unfortunately, there was for my business partner and I am against 23:30 o'clock no longer, drinks at a bar in the hotel. The corridors are a bit full of nooks and crannies, which in my opinion but not bad. Read more

The hotel is very centrally located and offers beside the extremely attentive, friendly and courteous service everything, what you need after a stressful day.
By the culinary offer advanced in the eating places, it is unnecessary to find restaurants in the area. If you would like to try out, you will at the front desk with good tips.
The drinks from the minibar are offered by the hotel filled up and are cleaned daily.

Centrally located Hotel. Nice rooms all offer, which it after a rigorous day. I could myself recover in the few hours and left the next morning after a great breakfast back to work. It is to be mentioned especially, that our group, the meal at 6:00 o'clock had to take. The staff was despite the early morning hours were very friendly and accommodating. Super located city hotel. In the immediate vicinity there is everything, what you want. The disadvantage therefore was: it was a bit noisy.
Unfortunately was right next to our room on the first floor was the women's toilet, which brought additional noise pollution. At eight o'clock drives the city cleaning and also shouting in the street you can get practically with 1:1.

Vey comfortable and clean hotel , easy accsess to highways and restaurants , also the swimming pool is nice and clean the only thig is that you need to get there early so you can have a chair other than that is a nice place over all.
